Arangetram – A Tribute to My Guru


Yuva Dance

This encourages young artistes between 16-25 years of age to share videos of their dance performances in various sabhas and showcase their dancing skills.
Young dancers who wish to exhibit their talents can submit their videos for the programme. Classical, Devotional or Folk dances can be presented.

Note: Appropriate costumes and Jewellery are mandatory. The Video should be within 25-29 minutes. It can be either individual/group participation. Age limit: 16-35 years.

Yuva Music

This encourages the youths of age between 16-25 years to share the videos of their Music shows and exhibit their music skills (includes both Vocalists and Instrumentalists).
Young Musicians who wish to exhibit their talents can submit their videos for the programme. Classical, Devotional or Folk songs can be presented.

Arangetram – A Tribute to My Guru

Young debutants will present their ‘Arangetram Moments’ and talk about their journey towards that end as a tribute to their gurus.
Highlights/Clippings from Arangetram with the debutants talking about their journey with their Guru can be submitted for the Webcast.

Azhagu Malargal

An Excellent platform for the growing buds to showcase their talents in various art forms. (includes children from the age of below 15 years)
Parents and Teachers wanting to promote the talents of their children/students could send a video showcasing any of their talents e.g. Storytelling, Arts and Crafts, Sloka chanting, Mono acting (except dance and music).
Note: The Video should be within 8-10 minutes. It can be either individual/group participation. Age limit: below 15 years.

My Experience My Sharing

A Great chance for the common people to share their ideas and experiences about various spiritual topics.
Speakers can submit a video of them talking about any spiritual topic in any Indian Language. If the talk/sharing is not in English, subtitles of the script could be sent along with the video for larger reach.
Note: The Video should be within 25-29 minutes. No age limit.

Institution of the week

An Opportunity for the growing institutions (any institution that is trying to promote the cultural heritage of India) to share their ideas and works with the world.
Institutions working in the area of Indian Culture-Dance, Drama, Music, Storytelling, Vedanta and the like, could provide a video that covers their works and activities.
Note: The Video should be within 25-29 minutes.

This provides an opportunity for the Non Residents of India by webcasting their dance videos/shows.
Participants can submit a video showcasing any of their talents (except dance) pertaining to Indian Culture.

NRI Dance

A Golden Opportunity for the Non Residents of India to exhibit their various talents pertaining to the Indian Culture.
Young dancers from abroad who wish to exhibit their talents can submit their videos for the programme. Classical, Devotional or Folk dances can be presented.
Note: Appropriate costumes and Jewellery are mandatory. The Video should be within 25-29 minutes. It can be either individual/group participation. No age limit.

Cultural news –International

This aims to showcase a report on the variety of cultural events that are happening around the world reflecting Indian culture.
Any Institution/Individual can send a video of the cultural activities/performances that are happening around the world. A Description about the cultural event should be attached along with the video.
Note: The Duration of the News clip should be 3 minutes

Interview of senior artistes

Participants can interview Veteran and Senior artistes of their choice ( any artiste who are involved in the Arts and Culture field ).
We request the participants to submit a document containing the following details.
1.Bio data of the participant along with a passport size photo.
2.Details of the artiste whom they are going to interview.
3.List of questions that are going to be asked in the interview.
On approval of the document the video of the interview should be sent. Later, on receiving the confirmation for the video from RASA web channel, the payment has to be made.

Rasa News Hour

Any Institution/Individual can send a video of the cultural activities/performances that are happening in and around Chennai and other cities of India. A Description about the cultural event should be attached along with the video. Note: The Duration of the News clip should be 3 minutes.

Registration Fee:

All the Shows except Azhagu malargal, Aadi Varum Pookal and Paadi Varum Pookal costs
Rs.2000/- and for NRIs $30 for every ½ hour slot of webcast.
Azhagu malargal, Aadi Varum Pookal and Paadi Varum Pookal costs
Rs. 800/- and for NRIs $12. Duration of Webcast- 10 minutes.
Cultural News
Rs.300/- and for NRIs $4. Duration of Webcast- 3 minutes.

General Rules:

The Videos could have been taken in the past or can be shot on mobiles/handy cams. The quality of audio and video should be good.
The Videos should not exceed the stipulated time limit.
Please attach the required documents wherever it is asked for.
All the videos once uploaded will be screened to assess the quality and content. Confirmation and webcast schedule of each video will be sent to the participants after the approval from the panel board of RASA Web Channel.
The Payment must be made within three working days of confirmation.
The Participants must wear traditional attire in their videos.
